about the author
Clif Laurence
Clif Laurence is a boarding school survivor (and a member of BSS – Boarding School Survivors/Concern in UK), having experienced the whole boarding gamut of ‘Preparatory’ and ‘Public’ schools from ages 8 to 18. He was sent away to his prep school at age eight and experienced abandonment in the name of ‘love’, which he found confusing, if not soul destroying. He left public school at eighteen and went into engineering via a “Student Apprenticeship”, four days learning at a factory and one day at Technical College. At this time he found his education had little prepared him for the ordinary world. As time went by he came to feel that the whole British system of boarding school education, touted as “The best education money can buy” was nothing of the sort but was, in fact, highly destructive to a developing boy.
Under his everyday name he has published several non-fiction books, this is his first fiction book, published under pen name, Clif Laurence.
